Self catering cottages in North Devon at Fairview Farm Cottages

Enjoy our holiday cottages in North Devon. Woolacombe is a mere 10 minutes drive away. Set in peaceful countryside yet only a short drive to Ilfracombe or Barnstaple. The cottages surround a lawned courtyard set with garden furniture and picnic tables. The stone and cob farm cottages are next to the farmhouse with 13 acres of pasture. Wonderful views extend to Dartmoor and the sea at the Taw estuary.

At the farm

The converted farm outbuildings house a games room and indoor play area. Outside there is a hard tennis court, a 9-hole pitch and putt and play area. Or just relax in our delightful gardens.

Although our barns no longer echo to the lowing of cattle, they instead slumber in this peaceful spot. Relax and enjoy the sight of buzzards wheeling overhead, swallows nesting in the barn, greenfinch feasting on rose hips, and blue tits and bats in our nest boxes. Come and help feed the horses in this idyllic, charming corner of Devon.

Near the farm

The beautiful expanse of Woolacombe’s sandy beach is a short drive away. Croyde and Saunton’s sandy beaches are about 20 minutes drive. All three are a surfer's paradise. The unspoilt and tranquil Exmoor National Park is a haven for walkers with open moorland, deep wooded valleys and attractive villages. All this is within half an hour’s drive.

Nearby attractions

North Devon has a choice of quality attractions. Watermouth Castle and Combe Martin Wildlife Park and both close by. The Big Sheep and Milky Way and about 40 minutes drive. Funderzone in Barnstaple is great fun for small children.

For the grown-up’s there are golf courses at Ilfracombe and Saunton, excellent pubs providing quality food in many villages and towns. Ilfracombe and Barnstaple both have excellent theatres with well-known performers making for a good evening’s entertainment.
